Wildtree Food Giveaway!

Last night I hosted a Wildtree party here at my house.  I mentioned the product line in this blog a couple of weeks ago, but now am opening my party to the online world.  I have to say, if I were to do direct sales, this would be my product.

Wildtree is much like Tastefully Simple in that most of their products are powder based and shelf stable, but the difference is that Wildtree is all-natural, and going 100% certified organic come Summer.  For those of you who didn't already know, there are much more regulations to claim a product organic vs all natural, so this is a huge deal for the company.  All Wildtree foods are free of MSG, hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrups, GMO's, food dyes; additives, preservatives or fillers; and nuts!  They also have a selection of gluten free products.

One of my personal favorite things about this company is that it was started by a mother out of necessity, not as a money-maker.  The founder had children with many food allergies and started experimenting with different herbs and spices, selling her concoctions at trade shows and small markets.  The company is now nation-wide and fairly new to the Midwest.

Without sounding like a sales-pitch, I want to share with you why/what I love about this food.  As a mom, I have been trying recently to shop organic, all natural, all around healthy...on a budget.  As I am sure many of you probably do, I go on kicks where I will plan this week's meals and prepare healthy dinners only to be burnt out by Wednsday or Thursday and opt for delivery pizza.  To grocery shop and read every label and trying to decipher ingredients is an impossibility with two little ones running around, and these products take all of the work out for me.  I know when I read a Wildtree label I can pronounce every ingredient listed, not to mention the food is delicious.  I am a serious sauce-snob and I cannot get enough of the pasta sauces, both spaghetti and alfredo.  On top of that, if you price compare Wildtree's seasonings (amongst others) their prices are ounce-per-ounce less expensive than the grocery store brands and without the fillers.  Click this link for a taco seasoning comparison.

They also have an amazing line of grapeseed oils which are healthier for you than the overused olive oil.  I am not an expert on the grapeseed oils, but I have tried them and they are tasty.  I was told that the butter flavored one can be used as a substitute for vegetable oil in baked goods by using 1/3 the amount!

Anyway, the bottom line is that I love this food and I want to give away The Alfredo Extraordinaire, as it is my personal fave.  This giveaway is going to be very short, so I don't anticipate a whole lot of entries,  especially as this is over a weekend.  All entries must be in by 11:59 Central Time Saturday, March 10th.  If you are having a hard time commenting below, you can still comment on my Facebook page under the comments for the link to my blog to be eligible.  To be entered into the giveaway, you need only to share what your favorite go-to easy meal is to make at home whether it be for your family or yourself.  My online party will only be open through this Monday the 12th of March.

I personally find it easier to shop with the paper copy catalog in front of me than online, so I looked for a PDF of the original catalog and found the 2011 version (click here).  I have to assume prices will vary and there may be new/discontinued products, as this catalog is out of date, but it may be easier to look through than the online version (for the online version click here).

So there it is!  To shop my party, click here, then choose Anna's Tasting to shop from.  Once you have your products, you can go back online, too, to find many recipes!  I am officially hooked and I hope you are too!  Thanks for shopping!

  3. My favorite "go to" meal is pasta, usually with chicken and alfredo. It's easy to portion control for one. (My actualy favorite "go to" meal is "go to Monica's for supper.") :]

  4. My favorite go to meal is Crockpot Chicken Tortilla Soup.
Mix 2 cans black beans, 2 cans rotel, 1 can tomato sauce, 1 (4 oz) can green chilies, and 1 cup salsa in the crockpot. Add 2 - 3 skinless, boneless chicken breasts. If chicken is frozen, cook on low for 8 hours. If chicken is thawed, cook on low for 4 hours. Shred chicken before serving and mix back into soup. Serve with tortilla chips, guac, plain greek yogurt, shredded cheese.

  5. My favorite go-to meal is roast in the crock pot. It's my favorite because I don't have to cook at the end of the day.....and I basically have to just throw stuff in a crock pot. My cooking skills, motivation, and creativity are severely lacking. I have to check out Wildtree!
