Snowed in!

I apologize in advance if my post is a little all over the place.  I am tired from all of the sitting around I've been doing this weekend.  You all know about the blizzard so I won't get into it.  It cancelled all our big plans for the weekend.  I was really looking foward to the Hormel Christmas Party, Vikings game and Log Jam Christmas Party tonight.

I suppose it's better this way.  I decided last minute that I was going to buy a new dress for the Hormel Christmas party after all and packed the girls up and headed to the mall.  I have not been especially good about making healthy food choices this week, but I am happy to say that I am officially back into a size 8!  Yesss!  Single digits again!

While in the dressing room Lucy started to laugh as I hadn't gotten one of the dresses all the way on and said, "Mama, is that Clara's dress?  That is too little for you!"  Ouch.  Thanks, Lu.  Two-year-olds have a way of being brutally honest while still being super cute.

My friend Monica dropped off some dresses for me to try on in case I didn't want to wear the (intentionally) tight dress I had bought. She warned me several times that these dresses might be a little 1998 for my taste.  While most of them were ;) she had left a classic, simple black Express dress from the days of the 3/4, 5/6, 7/8...sizing :)  You all know what I'm talking about.  It would have been perfect if I were doing something besides sitting around sewing all night last night...

When the party is rescheduled I will be prepared.  And thinner. :)

The snow has really been a blessing in disguise as we got to spend the weekend at home together with a fire and Christmas music. I bought the Glee Christmas CD and Lady A's Christmas CD. I couldn't decide.  While shopping at Target for wrapping paper earlier this week I started sweating profusely. Picking out wrapping paper is almost as stressful as the Christmas card. I have to coordinate all of my wrapping paper and ribbon to make handmade bows. Then I had to pick out Santa's wrapping paper. Ohhh boy...decisions, decisions.

I must now go back to finishing my Christmas presents. I just realized Christmas is coming sooner than I am prepared for.  Here is where I shamelessly plug my Etsy shop.  If you order before December 20th, you will have a perfect gift by Christmas Eve.  Remember to use BLOGREADERS20 for 20% off!
