PIE

I am such a sucker for nostalgia and tradition and the fall is my absolute favorite time of year. Shopping in the "seasonal" section has always been my favorite. Now that my anniversary will be every fall I have that much more reason to love and look forward to it. Because of this I think I will find it very challenging to keep my weight loss goals in check. I would feel deprived if I couldn't bake my favorite pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting or dutch apple pie.

For those of you who don't know the stories, let's just say Tony and his family have a rich family tradition of pies. I spent a good chunk of time thinking this was just a hilarious fixation Tony has, but I have now given in and started making them because the look on Tony's face when he comes home from work to a pie is just priceless. He is a little boy on Christmas morning...e.v.e.r.y.t.i.m.e. I can't get enough of it. It is just the cutest thing.

So yeah I made that apple pie today. And yeah I ate two pieces. And yeah I had ice cream on it. Yeah, both times. I had leftover rataouille for lunch and a veggie sandwich for dinner. Leave me alone. And remember I raked? Yesterday?

I might still eventually try the gluten free diet, but I just don't know if I want to restrict myself when it comes to beer selection.

Oh yeah, and I went to Target today.
