It's the first unhealthy meal I've had this week. It was breakfast so I am okay with it. Again I am not going to play the "I can't have that" game. Since Tony has been working in the afternoons, family breakfasts of pancakes is one of those traditions I know I will always look back on fondly. Lucy is seriously obsessed with pancakes, butter and syrup. I list them individually because she even loves them individually. My mom and dad ("Gaga and Papa") learned this the hard way last weekend when they had the girls overnight and Lucy drank the little cup of syup my mom had set next to her French toast sticks as if it were juice. I learned how much Lucy loves butter when I caught her munching on an entire stick that fell out of the fridge.
Yesterday I made lahvosh again. It had mozzarella, carmelized onions, portabella mushrooms, roasted red pepper (which, btw, I roasted myself), spinach, and green onions. Amazing. I think I could eat that everyday. For dinner tonight we had veggie stir fry and right now Tony is baking an acorn squash for "dessert". I don't actually know if it's an acorn squash but it was given to me by the mailman, which is another story altogether. I will save that one for another day.
I was thinking a lot today about my goal and how we are just abot half way through the month. I haven't lost anything yet which really kills me. Hopefully the 10 lbs will just magically start melting off soon. I was trying to think what my next goal is going to be when the month is over. After all, the eating season is right around the corner slash has kind of already started. I haven't decided what my next goal will be but my ULTIMATE goal and reward will be that I will buy myself a new pair of Sevens when I fit into a size 27. And maybe a new pair of Joe's jeans too....Provacateurs to be specific. Mmm, jeans.....
Tony, I am just going to declare it now so this coming winter/spring we don't have to have the "You spent WHAT on jeans?!?" conversation later. You, by the way, have been my biggest and most amazing supporter since I have started this. You never push or judge and always support and eat what I make happily. You are the best. I heart you.
I was trying to lose this weight without really starting with a workout regimen just yet but I am starting to think it is going to be essential. So, here it is;
WANTED:
An FFGH who wants to workout together.
Requirements;
- You must have at least one baby who left you with some extra lbs.
- You must be available to workout with me in the afternoons or evenings (maybe mornings. We'll talk.)
- You must live in or around Austin.
- You must be fun and share stories about how badly you want to eat cake and cheese curds too.
- You must like happy hour at Applebee's and be available to go and indulge with me from time to time.
Oh! And my rating for today...
Another B I suppose because of those pancakes, but yesterday was definitley an A!
I would do happy hour... but those darn bbq boneless wings at applebees are too tempting. Let's plan on LJ with some jalapeno poppers.
ReplyDeleteKeep it up girl. I had pancakes today with my toddlers...after I had "teacher breakfast" which was hasbrown egg dish...( i had 2 pancakes, with syrup...the were whole wheat, so its okay, RIGHT?)
