Christmas is officially over. I can't believe it. I had a successful Christmas season with my Etsy shop and now it is time to start promoting it more to keep busy through the rest of the year. I have so many things to add and create with very little time. My homemade Christmas gifts seemed to be a big hit. Christmas = a success.
On Christmas day the four of us were carting to and from other family gatherings, etc. I was remembering three years ago when I was pregnant with Lucy (three years? wow!) and I had gotten a bunch of baby gifts as Christmas gifts and cried all day. Worst Christmas ever. It doesn't seem that long ago and now here we are two kiddos later buying presents like Play Doh (yes, I caved) and CandyLand.
I thought I would forever want to go home to my mom and dad's for Christmas morning, and while I love spending holidays with family, it is getting to be a bit much. I think next year we may wake up with the girls in our own house. There is not a chance, though, that I would want to miss out on the traditional Christmas dinners in Wisconsin. I gained seven pounds in the past week being home! YIKES! It is a good thing that my team of friends and I start our "Get Fit Challenge" next week.
After a nice day of bridesmaid dress shopping and picking out art at my mom's gallery in Minneapolis yesterday, I returned home to Austin. Like a chain reaction, we all got sick and were "purging" throughout the night. The plus side is that I lost those seven pounds I gained....and then two more...since yesterday.
I am feeling so torn as my friends are all home and I am back in Austin, but life needed to get back to normal at some point. After kicking this flu I am hoping to get back to the gym :)
