It looks like I won't be making any impulse shopping trips to Rochester anytime soon. It's probably for the best I suppose.
The flip flops were put away this morning (yes, I wore mine into November. Stop judging me) and the winter jackets are out. I was a true bargain-shopping-mom this week and hit up Old Navy for their half off outerwear sale. Lucy got this jacket but in black (naturally, as I try to dress her the way I dress myself I recently realized)....

And for those of you who remember Lucy's bearsuit, Clara got one of her own. We like to call it bearsuit version 2.0.
For Clara's suit I used a Gap Wednesday 40% off coupon a couple of weeks ago. I am having such a love/hate relationship with coupons these days.
I go back and forth about coupons because sometimes they are great deals but sometimes I feel like I am ust buying things that I wouldn't otherwise or the product with coupons is still more expensive than a generic version. I will admit I am a brand-snob, but only on certain things like diapers and cereal. My friend Michelle has started a coupon-clipping blog and she has inspired me to give the coupon thing a couple more chances. Thank you, Michelle.
Where are the kitchen pictures? you ask? Oh, I almost forgot! They are right here!
I feel as though I need to justify the obscene quantity of cereal above my fridge before you see it in pictures-- let's just say that was my best coupon experience to date!
This just in (my mailbox)- Hormel Christmas party invitation! It came addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Otto and the novelty of being called Mrs. Otto hasn't worn off yet (in print, of course. Please don't start calling me that ;) )
it looks gorgeous! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the coat for Lucy! And of course the kitchen is beautiful. Will there be Spam at the Hormel Christmas party Mrs. Otto?
ReplyDeleteActually the signature party hors duerv is bacon with brown sugar...only Hormel...
ReplyDeleteI think you need more cereal. I will watch for a good deal.

How perfect!
I'm sure this will make you proud. I read this blog post with your brother in law last night while sitting at the Pokegama drinking wine....that is dedication! That little jacket is just too cute for words and I love that you got it in black. adorable! Also the kitchen really looks fab. The abundant amount of cereal looks rather famililar. Fortunately I have a cabinet above my fridge to hide it all. Speaking of holiday parties, are you going to be having an ugly sweater party this year??
